VideoMapping 3D is a technology that projects videos, animations and graphics onto any physical surface. But not only is it a beautiful resource that beautifies a building, it can also be used to communicate an advertising message or concept in a creative and effective way, just as these amazing VideoMapping campaigns did.
At Stringnet we are fans of this magical visual technology, and in honor of it we have compiled just a few of the best campaigns that have used this technique to connect with their audience, generate recall and inject strength into their message. Join us on this journey full of visuals, interaction and dynamism!
Can you imagine being able to bend an entire building with your hands? Well, Nike granted this supernatural power to its assistants, but with a very clear intention: to demonstrate how incredibly flexible its sports shoes are.
Nike Building Twist was an interactive 3D VideoMapping experience controlled by a shoe connected to a bunch of pressure sensors. To check the unrivaled flexibility of sports shoes, attendees bent the shoe as they pleased, while they saw how that same movement was reproduced on a large scale and in real time in a virtual building through a projection.
The buildings projected with VideoMapping twisted, wobbled and adopted the movements that people made through the shoe.
If a person made waves with the shoe, he could see the same movement reflected in the projected building with VideoMapping.
The message was perfectly reflected in the public: Nikes shoes are the most flexible
Building Twist was undoubtedly one of the campaigns that confirm that VideoMapping can be one of the best ways to spread the benefits of a product in an exciting and dynamic way.
Adidas France presented a spectacle of optical illusions, animations and realistic representations of athletes in action through a 3D VideoMapping projection on an immense architecture.
The projections quickly changed to different scenarios, we could see a soccer player kicking a ball, or a basketball match that seemed depending on the projected sport: karate soccer, basketball, several athletes were represented, of which Adidas sponsors.
Without a doubt, one of the best 3D VideoMapping campaigns due to its dynamism and creativity to show that Adidas is where the best sneakers are.
To introduce the Hyundai Accent model in Egypt, the automaker used stunning graphics and 3D VideoMapping projections to captivate the public. The car starred in a kind of simulated race thanks to the changes of scenery projected below it. Fast lights, visual games, futuristic roads, there was a lot of action in this campaign!
“Get your energy back” was the name given to an extraordinary 3D Videomapping campaign by Toyota to demonstrate the operation of its Hybrid Synergy Drive technology in one of its vehicles.
Incredible light graphics were projected on the car to be promoted, simulating energy waves, which activated other projected objects as if the car were an energy source. The futuristic-style campaign received much applause and amazement from the public. Video mapping, in this case, was the perfect way to clearly and impressively explain the novelties of a product as complex as the new function of a car. An energizing experience!
One of Sydney’s most historic buildings became the scene of a thrilling, high-speed car race.
The toy car brand used VideoMapping to create an exciting and fast race between its vehicles.
As the race progressed, the scenarios became more complicated and wilder: they had to compete on a burning track, and move underwater at the mercy of a shark.
The narrative that accompanied the 3D projection helped make it feel more exciting and real. An experience that both adults and children who love cars enjoyed thanks to VideoMapping.
Asia’s first interactive 3D projection. On a busy street in Singapore, thousands of spectators were impressed by this VideoMapping campaign of the BMV car firm in one of the buildings in the area.
The projection simulated block games, Pac-Man among other interactive animations, revolving around the concept of the car to be promoted. Thanks to this VideoMapping campaign, BMV was able to convey the dynamism of its JOY car in a visual and striking way.
